| these are a series of sketches done in watercolour from life on the lake in Windermere Florida. Probably very early in the morning when the birds would fly in from the rookery. I would arrive and have my small steel john boat out in the water before the sun's rise and sit behind the cat tails waiting for the arrival of the birds. The entire lake would be covered with a fog or mist. I had a small hunting telescope that I would view the birds with and than paint as i interpreted. |
